Okay... the fandom is molesworth and the books are autopope's Laundry novels.

Eep. This is where I confess that I've never read the Laundry series (despite sitting through an entire talk on the technology used in it) and, as I can't get hold of them in electronic format so I can read them on my e71, it's unlikely I will in the near future.

They are. Well worth reading. Some of the shorts included in The Jennifer Morgue had me chuckling wildly.
