Due to the fact the department I work for has the initials "K" & "I", I've just realised that I work for "Kandi". That's slightly worrying...

C has just informed me that in the 'casting game' I would be portrayed in the movie of my life by Katherine Hepburn. In fact, she says, it'd be like Bringing Up Baby, but with meerkats.

In other news, wine is very unlikely to be corked any more. Mind you, it's much more likely to be screwed...

So the landlady is in hospital with blood clots in her lungs. Serious? Yes. Deadly? Potentially. She's still hoping to make it back home within the next couple of days, though. Eternal optimism, eh?

I'm awfully hungover today as not_here is in town. There was a huge get-together last night which was fun. And there's more tonight. Not so much beer, I hope!

Running late, yet again. It's amazing how long things take. But I've got some of my outstanding work done today - one Pros fic knocked off (it's on discoveredinalj if you want to read it - will link later when I've got time) and a crack_van rec sorted. Just one more to go. I've still got to post up the next 1973flashfic challenge, which I promise I'll do later, guys, and finish amending the write-up, plus post my last Van rec. Then I might manage to get some actual writing done. Busy, busy, busy.

In real life, I've ripped a few more CDs to Itunes, I'm slowly converting all my CDs, but it's taking time. I've also managed to do some housekeeping on the laptop and do some washing (not on the laptop). I've still got to dive into the shower in order to meet cuvalwen at quarter to six in Hammersmith as we're going to see Star Trek tonight. I'm really looking forward to it!

Had a lovely night last night, meeting up with anne_l_davies and then going to see Trans-Mission at The Hope and Anchor in Islington. And my parcels (seasons 8, 9 and 10 of Stargate SG-1) have finally arrived.
