This goes doubly when you're also secretly thinking "what's the worst thing I can think of to do to Sam?"

Well, I would point out it's a valid technique for getting good, strong plots (it's a Bujold favourite - which is why her protagonist is likely to end up in a bucket one day!). But I don't hurt Sam all that often. That's Fi's job. I just look after him, making sure he doesn't know what's coming!

Damn I miss Ultraviolet. It was fab. I bought there videos, back when there was such a thing as videos.
