Or not, as it transpired. However, a lovely walk in Duke's Meadows was had by both of us and we did come back with half a pound of rosehips and several ounces of hops... Yeah, that one rather surprised me too, but they apparently do grow wild down on the banks of the Thames...

It's a gorgeously lovely day. And very relaxing too.

It was quite impressive! Just on the bank, in a bit of space between a willow and a hawthorn and there it was! Lovely specimin as well!

Hops abound around my way, too. I've also been foraging - rosehips and sloes, in my case. I'm toying with the idea of rosehip and sloe jelly.

Mmm. Sounds delicious! No sloes round here, unfortunately. Plenty of haws though... However I wouldn't know what to do with them - they're not that sweet.
